The HIV Management Guide for Clinical Care is currently under review, with a revision and integration process underway. Some sections may contain outdated or no longer relevant information that is not aligned with the latest clinical evidence and guidelines.

Healthcare professionals are advised to use this resource with caution and to consult the most recent ASHM Guidelines for up-to-date, evidence-based recommendations.

• Nursing & Midwifery Section: This section was updated more recently and remains relevant to current practice; however, it will also be reviewed as part of the ongoing integration process.
• Archived Material: Historical editions of the Guide will remain available as part of ASHM’s archival project (now underway), acknowledging the significant contributions of past authors and the evolution of HIV care in Australia.

This Guide is being updated in line with the ASHM Guideline Framework, ensuring rigour, inclusivity, and equity in all future clinical resources.
